On March 31, 2010, The CFA will partner with the Baylor College of Medicine to host a "cure summit" for members of the HIV-affected community in Houston and Harris County. This event, which we anticipate hosting on Baylor's campus, will be free and open to the public. We've invited Dr. Paula Cannon of UCLA to give a talk about her work and the implications it may have for a cure.
Baylor College of Medicine is home to one of only twenty Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) in the U.S. CFARS are funded by the National Institutes of Health to conduct basic and translational research in HIV. The CFA is proud to collaborate with the Baylor CFAR in providing a cutting-edge and hope-filled educational program to the Houston community. More details as they become available.
